Tanner Zimmerman, MA - Intern
Tanner Zimmerman enjoys providing psychotherapy primarily to couples and other intimate partnerships. He also enjoys working individually with adults of all ages. His particular areas of passion revolve around issues with sexuality and working with folks in the LGBTQ+ and kink communities.
Tanner has experience working with anxiety, depression, trauma, and strained intimate relationships. He relies on a strengths-based approach and works with his clients to develop a process that sets them up to succeed in their relationships and to lead fulfilling lives. Tanner also incorporates principles from attachment theory, emotion-focused theory, and narrative theory to foster growth in individuals and relationships.
He will graduate with a master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy in the fall of 2019 from Saint Mary's University of Minnesota. Tanner is certified in psychological first aid and Prepare & Enrich.
