Respite Workers *

Employment Opportunities

and surrounding communities.

Respite is designed to provide children and their families a short period of relief from their struggles. The Respite Worker spends time with the child doing fun activities in the community. These activities can include going to the pool, bowling, baseball games, biking, or any other activity that the child would enjoy. The purpose of this service is to provide fun for the child with an adult who can be responsive to their needs. Respite work is non-clinical work.

 

Applicants should be 18 years of age or older and be able to pass a background check. Respite Workers make $12 per contact hour. 

Mental Health Behavioral Aides *

A Mental Health Behavioral Aide (MHBA) is a paraprofessional who works with children and their families under the direction of a mental health practitioner. As a Mental Health Behavioral Aide, you’ll enjoy working with a variety of people and receive support, experience and skills from professionals in the field.

You will enjoy a very flexible schedule, allowing you to better balance your priorities outside of work.

 

This is an entry-level position in children's mental health with many opportunities to advance in the field and within the organization. It provides an opportunity to gain training and clinical experience in a positive work environment. Pay ranges from $12 to $15 per contact hour.

Skills Workers *

As a Skills Worker, you'll form one-to-one relationships with clients through countless activities. Skills Workers will find a unique mix of independence and
collaboration and a team that values and respects your work and is eager to collaborate and problem-solve alongside you. On-the-job training will help you confidently build your professional skills and prepare you to develop deep relationships with your clients. 

You will enjoy a very flexible schedule, allowing you to better balance your priorities outside of work, and an active, varied workday.

 

Skills Workers must meet the state requirements as a qualified mental health practitioner. This position requires a bachelor's degree in psychology or a related field and experience working in the children's mental health field. Practicum students in graduate programs for mental health qualify for the role of a Skills Worker and will be compensated for their clinical hours.

 

Candidates who are fluent in a non-English language may qualify to have their experience hours waived. Bilingual applicants are encouraged to apply. Pay range is $20 -$25 per contact hour. 

Support Staff *
Support Staff *

Secure Base Counseling Center is in need of friendly, organized, computer-literate individuals who are willing and able to provide in-office support services to staff. This position includes answering the phone, scheduling appointments, greeting clients, managing records, organizing time and space to keep the office running smoothly. Excellent communication and organization skills are required.

 

Pay starts at $16 per hour. 

Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioners*

Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioners at Secure Base Counseling Center enjoy working with a variety of clients and approach their work with patient-centered care. At Secure Base Counseling Center, you will find clinical independence and a team of professionals eager to collaborate and mentor new colleagues at all levels.

Applicants will have an interest in Attachment Theory, cognitive neuroscience, and work from a patient-centered/relationship-based approach. Successful Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioners will comfortably apply a breadth of theoretical and philosophical therapeutic approaches.

Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioners at Secure Base Counseling Center have strong communication skills to effectively counsel patients and work collaboratively with other professionals to design treatment plans and monitor patient progress.

As a licensed Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, you will enjoy a very flexible schedule, allowing you to better balance your priorities outside of work.

Licensed Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioners at Secure Base Counseling Center must hold a master's degree in nursing, specializing in psychiatric health, current Registered Nurse License, and certification from the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Practicums are available to those who qualify.

Clinical Trainees *

Clinical Trainees have a master's degree in a field of psychology or social work and are on track to become a licensed mental health professional. At Secure Base Counseling Center, Clinical Trainees receive ongoing training and support, two hours of weekly supervision from a LMFT Board-Certified Supervisor, a varied case load and access to abundant resources in the therapy rooms, including dedicated playrooms.

 

Pay starts at $30 per hour. 

Psychiatrists*

Psychiatrists at Secure Base Counseling Center must hold a M.D. or D.O. 

Psychiatrists will enjoy working with a variety of clients – children, adolescents, families, couples, and individuals – and approach their work with patient-centered care. 

Psychiatrists at Secure Base Counseling Center have strong communication skills to effectively counsel patients and work collaboratively with other professionals to design treatment plans and monitor patient progress.
