Ashley Orchard, MA-Intern
Ashley Orchard, MA-Intern, provides therapeutic services for people of all ages and family systems. She offers support for individuals and relationships of all kinds, and is trained in working with children from birth to age five.
Ashley approaches therapy with a systemic view and attachment outlook. She employs various techniques, including but not limited to, narrative therapy, emotionally focused therapy, experiential therapy, play therapy techniques, mindfulness, and collaborative language. Ashley focuses on getting to know her client's and their families, fostering a positive relationship to be present with them on their journey to well-being.
She has experience working with anxiety, depression, trauma, abuse, relational conflicts, parenting challenges, attention and concentration, and behavioral concerns, among others.
Additionally, Ashley works with families impacted by adoption and military families. She strives to address the cultural concerns and stressors that have an impact on people every day, such as ethnicity, sexual orientation, beliefs/philosophies, gender, age, and disability.
Outside of her work at Secure Base, Ashley spends time with her family playing board games and Dungeons and Dragons, continuing her learning and education, teaching dance classes, and playing with her two cats and lizards.
